Write your REP. to urge them to support bipartisan legislation that would correct fed classification of 911 dispatchers. federal government classifies these dispatchers as administrative/clerical, which is inaccurate, disservice. Congress can fix this pass the 911SAVESAct HR6319
The Elgin Fire Department, Elgin, Illinois is now accepting applications for the Firefighter testing process through May 10, 2024, 11:59 p.m CST.

The written test will be administered by Public Safety Answers. The test will be a virtual exam that candidates must be complete by 5:00 p.m. CST on May 13, 2024.
Candidates must have their EMT-Basic license and CPAT by DATE OF HIRE.
