The AFFI is excited to announce an all-new and unique training opportunity in cooperation with Sprinkler Fitters Local 281:

In April and May, we will have 3 different opportunities for AFFI members to attend this unique seminar. There are limited slots for attendance in order for everyone to get “hands on” opportunities with the fire protection systems. Each session will be limited to 50 people in attendance.

Available seminar dates: April 29th, May 13th, or May 27th, 8:00 am – 5:00 pm daily at 11900 S. Laramie Ave. in Alsip, IL.

This seminar will give you the tools & information to be able to successfully navigate various fire protection systems you may encounter on emergency incidents. The Sprinkler Fitters Local 281 training facility has 49 different sprinkler valve stations, 2 fire pumps, and a standpipe system which are all live and will give attendees an awesome opportunity to work with these systems found nowhere else!

This seminar will cover:

Fire Protection Systems “101”
Fire Department Operations in Sprinkler Protected Buildings
NFPA 13E
Pre-planning
Practical applications, including supplying FDC’s, Standpipe operations, and Sprinkler System operations.

You and your members can’t miss this opportunity to brush up on these topics and skills!

Thanks to the partnership with Local 281 & Northern Illinois Fire Sprinkler Initiative these seminars are available to our AFFI members for FREE! This includes all course materials, refreshments, and lunch! (Please note if you register and do not attend your Local will be billed a $100 fee.)
